NYILUO SANCTUARY UK
Connecting and empowering Luo women in the UK through welfare, wellbeing and collective investment in aspects of growth and development.
Our Mission Statement and Values
NyiLuo Sanctuary promotes Luo Women to achieve their full potential and influence their immediate communities to greater heights by coming together as a collective.
We hold in high regard values such as accountability, integrity, respect, honesty and empowerment for all our members.
Our Pillars of Operation
Welfare and Wellbeing
The welfare and wellbeing pillar is our core pillar which every single member of Nyiluo Sanctuary UK MUST be a part of.
NLSUK was formed in 2020 at the beginning of the global C-19 pandemic, and exists so we can take care of, and support each other.
We are our sisters’ keepers. And at the heart of that, is every member’s welfare and wellbeing – celebrating each other through the good times and leaning on each other through the challenging times.
A nominal subscription of £5/month (£60/year) per membership helps us run the welfare pillar.
Bereavement
The bereavement pillar is an optional one for members. It exists to support those who opt in through the unavoidable part of life cycle that is death.
Members choose 4 nominees every 5 years, who the pillar helps support through raising funds, should these nominees pass away. It helps members meet the sudden, and often high expenses that come with the passing of loved ones.
Only fully subscribed members of NLSUK are eligible to join the bereavement pillar.
Development
The development pillar is also optional for members.
It exists to offer growth opportunities where participating members pool together to share the benefits of opportunity and growth enhanced by collective endeavours.
Only fully subscribed members of NLSUK are eligible to join the development pillar.
